few people possess true artistic ability. It
is therefore both unseemly and unproductive to irritate the situation

Ah, and yet many do try and ultimately fail...assuming
they have no talent for the written word. Then again, editors make mistakes
and choose material that should never meet printer's ink. And, of course,
there are those for whom mere celebrity grants them a publishing contract,
with or without writing merit.
We won't be listing writers from any of those above
categories. There is not enough time extant to devote to inferior,
puerile writing. Hopefully the bad books will suffer dismal sales which
will end their time on bookstore shelves. Unfortunately, however, for
each excretable tome published, the cost to produce it kept several decent
manuscripts from being published. But, alas, that is the life
cycle of a novel to print to bookstore shelves.
